Instead of hauling long 20' rebar, figuring quantities, or dealing with oversized freight, SlabPack™ uses manageable 8' rebar lengths that are easier to handle on site and better suited for nationwide LTL shipping.
SlabPack™ is built for contractors, owner-builders, post-frame builders, and DIY customers working on garages, shops, pole barns, outbuildings, and other common slab-on-grade projects.
Built for Shippable Slab Projects
Most full-length rebar is supplied in 20' sticks, which can be difficult to transport, unload, store, and handle without the right equipment. Shipping longer material can also require expensive flatbed freight.
SlabPack™ is designed around 8' rebar lengths to make delivery simpler and more practical for smaller slab projects. This means more lap splices compared to using 20' bars, but the tradeoff is a reinforcement package that is easier to ship nationwide, easier to unload, and easier to work with on site.

Important Note About Lap Splices
Because SlabPack™ uses 8' rebar lengths for easier shipping and handling, these kits require more lap splices than a slab reinforced with full-length 20' bars.
For many garage, shop, pole barn, and outbuilding projects, that tradeoff is worth it because the material is easier to ship, easier to unload, and easier to place without needing long material delivery or special handling equipment.
